Got a new 1x11 drivetrain, bearings incoming. Stoked to have the bike put back together again...and my body. Thats a win
hopefully. I have a feeling Im going to find some compatibility issues when I start putting it together, its been a LONG time since my bike beta was current

C ongrats. I’ll look forward to seeing how well it all goes together.
If your frame is more than a few years old I’d be prepared for adapters to make adapters on top of adapters work.

I’ve been on the trainer over the past few weeks, but I can tell it’s going to take some time to get back to where I once was. Zwift shows your power output per kg and I’m watching people blow by making two, three, even five times the power output per kg that I am. Frankly, it’s amazing. I think I’ll be happy if I can double my output. No matter what, it means I’m slooooowwwww.

Ive never tracked my power output or time. I get why people do and I have no problem with that side of the coin (though Strava comps can get out of hand) . For me I’ll know I’m where I want when I can do the trails I want at my pace.

I’m feeling pretty good about my chances. Bb should be uniform, crank is uniform, cassette should fit in my hub. I'm thinking more to do with spacers and bolts

Possibly I hear too much about the finicky details behind making stuff work well together. That and I’m really exacting when setting up new stuff.
I feel like you recently posted what bike this is. Can you remind me for posterity?

When I ride the road or trail, it’s always been at my pace. Riding on a trainer is a different beast. Gamifying it makes it tolerable. I really wish I had a nearby safe place to ride.

Pro raci ng is going to be interesting whenever it is allowed to pick up again. There were a lot of men and women who are unquestionably strong and skilled that were getting their asses handed to them on Zwift. Quarantine in Europe keeping basically all of them inside unable to ride except on a trainer has been an interesting progression. Oh, and not a single doping test has been done in over two months.

You do know how rampant cheating is don’t you?
Example 6' and 230 lbs guy listed as 5'8"and 160 lbs looks like a real monster and has riding performance that is almost believable for someone really fit. Very very few people have an ftp near or above 5 w/kg in real life or peaks in the short measurable ranges that boggle the mind.

Sant Cruz Blur Classic. 115 mm rear 140 front travel. REplaced the front fork, replaced the brakes, replaced the wheels. pretty much the only stock thing on the bike besides the frame will be the crank (new rings), headset, stem, bars. Thats about it. ITs pretty XC light by today’s standard but its enough for me, plus its in the 26 lb range fully wet so thats not too bad.
The one in the pic above and this guy
